This piece is inspired by the Bronx skate scene in New York. In this depiction, a popular pro skater from the Bronx is doing a tre flip or " Fordham flip" near the Fordham Road train station in the Bronx. In this sci-fi inspired work, artist Chase Uhl in collaboration with rapper and producer IKECHI, imagine the Brox set in the year 4013. In addition, this strange new Bronx is rapid with harsh thunderstorms that turn skaters into stone if they're caught skating outside. Only after the storm has passed will the skater return back to their human form.
Suffice to say, this skater didn't make it and was turned to solid stone right in the middle of his strick.
